It’s a Wrap

Posted in Happenings, Legend, Skateboarding  by Eric

The Protec Pool party has once again come and gone.  Everyone’s already claiming conspiracy with the Van’s sponsored Bones Brigade documentary about to be drop and everyone but Tommy G. getting a spot in the top 5 (Master’s Division).  It actually would have been rad if Tommy came out for the event, did a few ho-ho’s around the deck and locked down 5th place.   From the looks of the video, the young bucks threw down some of the best skating the combi’s ever seen.  These days, there’s so much talent in this contest it’s insane.  I almost made the drive up just to see Greyson Fletcher and Alex Perelson.  Well, ok, the old guys too.  I guess, at the end of the day, no one can really fuck with Pedro and Rune in that bowl.  Check out some of the highlight’s…………

The 8th annual Protec Pool Party is goin’ down today at the Combi.   My ol’ lady’s getting tattooed down in SD, so this is the first one in quite a while that we won’t get to check out.  The finals don’t start until 8:00, so you never know.  Greyson is gonna to destroy that place.  Check out the webcast by clicking the flyer below.

Solid Wood

After releasing tribute boards for Blackheart, Cardiel and Tershay, Jordan Richter is the latest to be honored by Big Mess.  EZ Ryder has a rad new single-kick cruizer.  Last but not least, Shipyard just dropped their “Death From Above” model,  an early 90′s football shape with graphics by Jeremy Elder.  Not really sure who that dude is, but I’m digging his art.
